Details :

P49 is a double acting piston seal suitable for light to medium duty hydraulic cylinders & suitable for cylinders with small groove dimensions thus enabling a compact piston. The P49 is a combination of square energiser and outer seal ring made of PTFE added with a filler to increase the resistance of seal ring to high pressure. Generally, Bronze is the used as filler. But, Glass/Graphite filled PTFE seal can also be made. The P49 seal can be easily mounted on a single piece piston and is also suitable for two-piece piston application. The Bronze filled PTFE outer seal ring, when in contact the cylinder bore, the PTFE ensures a stick slip free movement and reduces friction to a minimum. The filler increases the strength in the seal ring to prevent it from extruding and to withstand pressures as high as 400 BAR.
